LJ is so stupid! I wish there was a way to take those annoying options off the screen. I don't like looking at them!

Here's a way to remove them:

Where do you put the code? Thanks!

I know what you mean. I just don't want it to be an option for my posts and their comments. :/

I was so totally pissed off when I logged on and saw this load of fail. Ugh. I agree with you; I don't want my personal info all over Failbook, either.

Exactly! I don't mind for my professional blog, but this has personal things and some posts I'd rather the rest of the world isn't privy to. *rolls eyes*

Did you read this? It's even worse than I thought it was! People can share comments on your locked and/or filtered entries, too!

THAT is what finally prompted me to write this post. This could be the worst thing LJ has thought of. I wish they'd get rid of it or give us a quick disabling option for those who don't have firefox. GRRRR

I totally agree with your comment. I donĀ“t want any of my posts or comment linked to FB or Twitter. I really believe LJ is quote clueless.

Most of LJ's improvements are fine with me, but this one unfortunately crossed a line.

Users who run on Firefox can opt out by installing this. It worked for me.

I don't use firefox at work or at home. Phooey!

I need a MAC/Safari fix or an Explorer fix.

You really should use Firefox, it's a lot safer :) really, and I promise I don't have Twitter or Facebook, so don't worry, I won't repost anything.

I feel quite protected with Safari but at work we have Explorer which is blech. I do have twitter and facebook accounts, particular because of my books.

this has all gone whooosh straight over my head.
Seems like a strange thing to be able to do really... I don't intend to be linking anything to facebook, but I'm worried I will do it by mistake. I'd better go check setting etc to make all this weird AU stuff go away!

Hope you are well... it's been a VERY exciting time for you!

That's the concern I had which is why I posted this. I don't want my fanfic or personal stories to pop up, or somehow get linked to facebook by accident.

This was quite a wild and exciting week. I'm finally getting time to calm down.

I hope you're well too!

I think I've done it right and nothing here should show up there. That's crazy - those two lives never ever connect for me and I certainly don't want them to either.

That's how I feel. My Facebook and Twitter accounts focus on my books, not my personal life!

I have no idea what's going on. This is the third time I've seen this. Luckily I'm not on Facebook or Twitter. But is there something I need to do to stop people from posting my stuff there, Although I rarely post anything I mostly read on LJ.

The two new buttons near the spot that says "post comment" can be checked and even a locked post or comment can be linked to Facebook or Twitter. My shadownyc lj is filled with personal things and fanfic, but my Facebook and Twitter are mostly about my books. I don't want them colliding!
