My lovely new icon is care of [livejournal.com profile] m4tth3w. It was posted during the recent blogathon--those two men are soooooo beautiful!

I just finished listening to the new QAF Final Season cd for the umpteenth time. Last year, after the release of the S4 cd I wrote an e-mail suggesting that they label each song with the ep. in which it was featured. I guess I wasn't alone, because for those of you who haven't purchased the cd yet, each title is accompanied by the ep. number and the actual scene in which it was heard. It makes me want to go back and rewatch several eps.

In addition, now I know that the S5 dvd's are due out on January 10th. I may not have been a marketing student, but don't you think it would have been prudent to release prior to the December holidays? I guess I'll just request Borders gift cards or cash to cover the cost. Now I just hope they come through and include a good wrap reel. *crosses fingers*

I was curious, how many of you could narrow down your QAF viewing to a top ten eps. list? I've been debating this--because that's the best way to procrastinate everything else (like RL). I'd love to hear what you think. I'll post as soon as I can narrow it down. Right now I'm at 24.

Well, holiday product is funny in that you deal with it a LONG time before it will be in stores. Orders for Christmas DVDs and CDs are placed in early June for delivery starting from September - Early November. From late October to the end of 2005 there is no point in releasing something that is not holiday related, because retailers have already spent their 4th Q money and your sales (to stores) will be crappy. Deferring it until 2006 means there is a chance for Showtime to get better ship numbers if customers had a good selling season (to consumers) in December.

Thanks for the info. Although I was aware of the early lead time for orders, I didn't know that intro. of new items as of late October wasn't very successful in distribution to retailers. It just doesn't add up to me, because I'm strictly a consumer--I've never been on the flip side.

Right there with you. Seriously.

*snorts*

It'll either be filled with extras or be as crap-tastic as S4's was. Seeing how CowLip treated the ending, my money's on crappy, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for pointing that out. Eppy and scene description are on the last page of the CD insert.

Aren't [livejournal.com profile] m4tth3w's icons gorgeous? I loved his blogathon ones. I've really got to friend him so I can see what else he's got. Hee. :)

I don't think I could narrow it down to only ten episodes. There are just SO many good ones. I know right off the top of my head that 103, 203, 308, 314, 410, 510, 511 and 513 are on the list!

I took several of [livejournal.com profile] m4tth3w's icons. I'm taking my time using each one to draw out the gazing enjoyment. *winks*

Last night I watched 510 twice, inspired by listening to "Shine" on the cd--that is definitely made my final top 10 also! :D

As you can see I share your love for that icon. I don't know if I couldn narrow it down beccause everytime I try to watch one episode I end up watching 2 or 3. Maybe 10 episodes where I watch more than just Brian and Justin. jule

I've narrowed my selection down to 14. I'll probably post my choices tomorrow.

The Top Ten, only? Uncomplicated, and yet I still feel like I'm committing some act of betrayal. I don't think there was ever an episode I didn't enjoy. Well, here goes nothin'...

1. Season 3, Episode 304
2. Season 3, Epsiode 311
3. Season 2, Episode 202
4. Season 1, Episode 119
5. Season 1, Episode 118
6. Season 4, Episode 402
7. Season 4, Episode 410
8. Season 5, Episode 507
9. Season 5, Episode 511
10. Season 2, Episode 204

Coincidentally, I have two favorite episodes from each season. Funny. Though, I still feel bad for not including #211, #206, #110, and theBigOne! #122. What can I say? I adore subtleties.

What are your favorite ten episodes, and, more importantly, why?

I've been thinking about what I saw throughout the seasons that led me to the way I viewed the ultimate finale and how the characters were developed. The passion in QAF is so intense, but there are certain moments of the 5 years that captured the essence of the main characters (for me the main characters are Brian, Justin & Michael). I've narrowed my list down to 14 eps. and one of them is 202--what an emotional episode! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)
