"JOY" and upcoming Boston trip

Yesterday my daughter and I took advantage of a huge discount on tickets to see the Off-Broadway show, "Joy". It was playing in the West Village between Bleeker and Christopher Streets so we visited our favorite gay bookstore, did a little clothes shopping and had a great lunch at Raphaela's (great Paninis, salads and desserts). "Joy" is about 7 friends in San Francisco and their relationships. The acting was great, the theater was tiny and we were in the front row, center. I love when Playbill.com really comes through with an offer that I can't refuse. It's free if anyone likes going to the theater and would like to get advance sale, discount tickets to a variety of different shows. It beats waiting in the TKTS line.

Next week I'm bringing my daughter back to BU. She lives right next to Kenmore Square in Boston. Since her dad won't be with us, he'll be home with another obligation with our son, we wanted to know if any of the QAF fans would like to join us for an early dinner or just to meet and say "hi". My daughter thinks that the live journal fandom that I've gotten involved with is "so cool". If any of you who live in the Boston area are available (I know it's Labor Day weekend) let me know. I love meeting new friends! :)

Joy sounds fabulous. You can't go wrong really with 'groups of friends and their relationships' stories.
